Presented by rap artist and founder of the Hip Hop Shakespeare Company, Akala, Life of Rhyme looks at the world of the MC through the lens of poetry and argues that inner city British youth are in the vanguard of a vernacular renaissance with poets flourishing everywhere from the street-corner to the pop charts. Including interviews with Linton Kwesi Johnson, Wretch 32, Giggs, Ghetts, Lowkey and Devlin and featuring specially commissioned 16 Bar performances from artists such as Birmingham’s Malik, Manchester’s Wrigz, and London’s Rodney P.
