UNITY - A CONCERT
FOR STEPHEN LAWRENCE

BBC One

Broadcast: 2013

Unity: A Concert for Stephen Lawrence commemorated the memory of eighteen year old Stephen Lawrence, murdered in a racist attack in south east London twenty years ago. The subsequent campaign for justice led by Stephen’s family had profound consequences for British race relations and the British criminal justice and legal establishment and this major music event at the O2 in London was held to raise awareness of the work of the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust and money to keep that work going. UNITY featured live performances from some of the biggest names in British music including Jessie J, Labrinth, Jamie Cullum, Tinie Tempah, Plan B, Rudimental, Beverley Knight, Ed Sheeran, Rizzle Kicks, Rita Ora and Emeli Sande.
