The concept behind House Party is simple: we choose six of the world’s best DJs and take over Channel 4 with a live six hour ad-free all-night party. With no studio audience, no presenter and no interruptions House Party brings the party to YOUR house, turning TV sets into DJ booths and transforming the nation’s sitting rooms into dancefloors with a unique music and entertainment proposition.

Hosted by Charlie Sloth and broadcast over the August Bank Holiday Weekend, House Party took the audience on a journey: from 80s pop and new electro played by the founding father of hip hop Grandmaster Flash, to cutting edge sounds championed by Annie Mac; from the sexy Ibiza house selection played by Erick Morillo to eye-popping displays of turntablism from A-Trak; from the heavy duty funk, house, soul and reggae B lines of Soul II Soul in full sound system set up to the soaring strings and lush arrangements of glamorous disco and Philly soul laid down by Horse Meat Disco.
