As a DJ and all-round musical connoisseur, Edith Bowman has always been fascinated by the relationship between sex and music. Why does music evoke such intense – to the point of physical – connections between people? What explains the power of music to provoke such sexual and sexualised feelings and behaviour? Is it art? Is it science? Or is it a magic we should leave well alone? In this film Edith embarks on a mission to find out what is THE best song to have sex to, taking us on a journey into art, science, history and pop culture – and finding out along the way if her own favourite (Patti Smith’s Gloria) can be trumped.
